About Don MacNeil

I'm the chief marketing officer for XO Communications. I'm responsible for the company's strategy and vision for serving business and wholesale customers and developing and managing the company's portfolio of IP, data and next generation network services. I've also got responsibility for all XO marketing functions, including overall go-to-market strategies, brand, product marketing, customer segment and vertical marketing, and sales enablement.

Prior to joining XO Communications, I was an officer in the United States Navy, where I developed and designed complex network systems. I'm a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and hold Masters Degrees in Physics and Business Administration. I'm a hockey fan and follow the Caps and the Bruins. Just to prove how much of a hockey fan I am, I have a signed U.S. Olympic Hockey jersey from Jim Craig of the gold medal winning 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team.
